Further, brokers and dealers should be alert to the fact that, pursuant to Rule 15c2-11 under the Exchange Act, at the termination of the trading suspension, no quotation may be entered unless and until they have strictly complied with all of the provisions of the rule.


The problem is not the trading halt. It expires automatically. The big problem is getting a market maker to sign off on a 15c2-11. There seems to be little incentive for a MM to do the investigation and take this risk. Consequently, trading halts usually mean the pink sheets. Check the record of the companies previously halted.
