Best-Selling Servers -- Percent Of Resellers Citing Each Vendor John Roberts
The percentage of resellers citing white-box units as their best-selling servers has declined slightly over the past year. Vendors such as IBM and Dell have picked up the slack, with Dell in particular seeing a sharp increase in the percentage of resellers, from 3 percent to 9.5 percent, citing its servers as their best-sellers.

Best-Selling Notebook PCS -- Percent Of Resellers Citing Each Vendor John Roberts
IBM and Dell have seen strong increases in the percentage of resellers citing their notebooks as best selling over the past year, according to data from the monthly CRN hardware poll.
Toshiba has seen a more modest gain, while Acer and Compaq have seen declines in the percentage of resellers citing their units as best selling. Vendor concentration in the small and midsize company market continues to increase, according to the data.

Best-Selling Desktops -- Percent Of Resellers Citing Each Vendor John Roberts
Over the past year, Dell and Hewlett-Packard have seen significant increases in the percentage of resellers citing their desktops as best-selling, according to data from the monthly CRN hardware poll. For example, over the first two months of this year, an average of 8 percent of respondents said HP was the manufacturer of their best-selling desktop, compared with 5 percent in the comparable period a year earlier. These gains have come at the expense of Compaq and IBM, according to the data. |
