- First: Think how much Expedia would be worth; compared to Preview Travel (PTVL: now $22; was $44; huge losses every 1/4). - I think the upcoming reorganization will do more for shareholder value than anything else.: - most internet companies have losses or astronomical p/e's. - I predict that once the internet piece is on its own, there's going to be a massive rallying cry to spin these off piece by piece; and leave the cash cows of operating systems & applications to the parent.
