Ron-- great point-- you have to get out a SEE the world.
I love travelling to third world countries and interacting with the PEOPLE.

It let's you see how good we have it and how bad our attitudes and goals are here in the US.

BTW, how did the people in Panama act toward you?

It's not as farfetched as you may think. Prior to my retirement from the
military (USAF) in 1994, I participated in a DOD Force Evaluation Survey.
This survey was unlike any other survey or profile that I had seen in my
military career. It was conducted in the Fall of 1993, shortly after Bubba
had done his initial purge of the military high command. It asked many
questions that were posed as hypothetical situations. One such question
asked; "Would you anticipate a conflict in obeying a lawful order to
confiscate contraband such as firearms (contraband?) or other weapons from
private citizens in an event such as a national emergency and/or the
declaration of martial law?"
It also posed questions on what priority I
would give to conflicting orders from different sources. (Totally
hypothetically, of course) There was also a section, thinly disguised as a
quiz on the Constitution and Bill of Rights, on what constitutes legal
authority. All in all, it was an eye opener into the motives and goals of a
new Commander in Chief that I had only known previously by the stench of his
reputation as a draft dodger with an eye for the ladies and a soft spot for
fast food. As these surveys were supposedly confidential, I can only speak
for myself, but I believe my response reflected the rank and file at that
time. After reading the survey, I returned it unanswered except for the
"Additional remarks" block where I explained that "The survey was an
invasion of privacy into matters that in no way reflected on my ability to
perform my sworn duties". I also said that with all due respect, the
originator(s) of this survey could go fuck themselves. I feel that my
response was fairly typical. Shortly afterwards I submitted my retirement
request and even though I had three years remaining on my enlistment, my
request was approved and processed without question.
Let there be no doubt. Clinton is the most dangerous individual ever to hold
the Presidency. Sometimes I think that all of this hoopla about his
uncontrolled libido is just something to deflect attention from his true
agenda. While we're being regaled with his inability to keep his dick in his
pants, he's preparing a bonfire for the Constitution by issuing executive
orders #12991, #13083, #13107 and Presidential Decree #25. All of these
revoke individual and state powers and freedoms, ceding them to the Federal
Government, especially to the Executive Branch. The unbelievable part of all
of this is that so far, he's getting away with it.
