I use a real time quote service which I monitor all day. These services will show last trade size, bid, ask, etc. A 10,000 share buy would show trade size of 10,000 shares at the ask. By "Big Boys" I mean big money, which is relative. For AERN, buys of 5,000 shares or above I consider a good sign. I especially like to see buys of 10,000 share blocks (or bigger). Usually this kind of block buying means either institutional support, or some individual with alot of capital believes AERN is a good bet. I believe that big money, whether institutional or not, usually is well connected and has info. that us little guys don't yet have. My most successful trades and investments have been the ones where I acted on trading activity alone. (I blindly followed big money to the land of milk and honey). Likewise, if I start seeing sells of big blocks, you will not see me in this folder any more! |
