Hans,

You should not compare Apple with Intel. Rather, you should compare
IBM/MOT with Intel or PowerPC with Intel's chips.

Under the circumstance of Intel's success, Apple could still survive
and succeed. Right now, the competitions are between two groups,
Intel/Microsoft vs. IBM/MOT/Apple/Sun/Silicon Graphics/Oracle.

Apple's new OS will provide Apple with even closer tie with
IBM's RISC/6000 and Sun Solaris Unix systems. Therefore, the future's
war is DOS(or window 95) vs. unix.

At least, I am not baised to Apple. Occasionally, I still blame
on Apple's inefficiency. But only for one reason, to have Apple
become more competitive in the pc industry.
