Nuts to that, we gotta keep reminding most of these juniors that its OUR money, entrusted to them and they are accountable for finding good prospects, engaging proper qualified talents, managing the resources to explore those prospects efficiently, measuring the results to expectations, modifying the program to enhance value in the company, and ultimately to build an earnings company.
In my glory years before retirement, I managed and technically directed a successful $100 million dollar program and let me tell you there was lots of guys with spastic ideas how to spend your money, many of which were "sink drain" ideas. But each idea if challenged to explain how it could enhance things usually revealed itself under close scrutiny the prospects for success before embarking on the expenditure of $. Thusly, those that survived the scrutiny of challenging review, then carefully budgetted, directed, monitored, nourished with insightfull evaluation as to whether goals were being met was the road to success.
These guys who run around the countryside sticking drills in a bunch of targets, not keeping track of whether they is building a company or not, while running the treasury to zero, should be relieved of their jobs before the company is broke and replaced with others who have the appropriate talents to build a company without living off the shareholders forever. |
