Colin, CORRECTION TO MY LAST POST. I got a little ahead of myself and the last part ot the last sentence below should read "expressed as a % of the selling price" Sorry for the error. >>GoNorth says: Gross margins are not tied to capital investment. In the retail industry Gross Margins are simply the difference between the cost of goods sold and the selling price of the goods expressed as a % of the cost of goods sold.
