Bill, MSFT is a company that plans very long term. Gates is a visionary and knows what will happen down the road or at least be able to predict the trend. This company could not have achieved the greatest market capitalization in the entire world without brilliant executives. When I hear how not getting Silverberg to run MSN was a major blow to the company, I just laugh. It is just a media mis-coverage. Their whole hierarchy is probably filled with brilliant individuals. I would guess they will do a better job than someone coming in from another company with a track record unlike MSFT.
