Michael--- your thoughts on Mason's remark crossed my mind right after I heard about it. While it is very possible (probable??) it is not very responsible. There are many methods of guiding the analysts down. Those methods would drop the share price but not stomp it into the ground. Other methods could have ORDERLY obtained the same results without bringing on the lawyers. Had the share price dropped in relation to the severity the company now indicates there would be a faster and higher recovery with no loss of credability.

Too late to change it now (many of us watched a large amount of our net worth go into the potty) it was irresponsible. No one in that position should be as flippant to cause such turmoil unintentionally. Anyone in that position that would do such a thing intentionally deserves a reprimand, owes the shareholders and analysts an apology, and needs to assure the world it will never happen again. Since the SEC would look very unfavorably upon such an intentional action toward Mason and the company is is certain it would never be made public. Actually IMO Mason deserves a strong reprimand--- and it be made public even though addressed as an error in judgement.

VENTED!
