I didn't mean to be sarcastic. Okay, maybe I did. Anyhow, posting an Alcatel press release on its market share of ADSL doesn't prove much to me. I read french, btw, and the article points to 1998 numbers. The posted article focussed on Q4 98, and all of 1998 and showed Cisco make a big gain in ADSL share in Q4. I agree that Alcatel was the market leader, but as the technology matures, many SPs are making the move to data networking vendors. I'll see if I can find other analyst reports to re-affirm the data.
