uncle,

You ever heard the expression, "don't attack the messenger"? My whole post was not about being right, I was simply writing what the BW article was saying, not me, what BW said. READ THE ARTICLE. I can not paraphrase the whole article, that is why I said everyone should read it, ok?

My post had nothing to do with me selling RMBS or that I think RMBS is a dog now. I was simply bringing up the article as a "talking point" (Sorry Monica).

Talk about assumptions-

but i believe the newest announced palm pilot will use an armhy core with a rambus interface.

You could be right, but I never heard this. Again, I hope you are right, just never heard this.

don't we expect rambus to start taking over laptops early next year?

Again, the article talks about "non-traditional" laptops, will RMBS be in these limited use handhelds? I don't know, but I sure hope so.

sony's entire new product line is rdram dependent

Come on unlce, this is a stretch. We have read nothing that their "entire" new product line will be RDRAM "dependent". If you have, please post.....Again, I hope you are right, but I believe this is a stretch.

matsushita has announced that they are designing a wide array of consumer products all requiring rdram.

Please post this as well.

the only memory for digital tv will be rdram.

Could be, but DTV is several years away- who's gonna buy a $30K TV in the near future? HDTV is about $12K now.

the list of rdram uses is very long and growing longer rapidly.

This I agree on totally, but it's all discounted in the stock price already.

in addition we all keep upgrading here in the usa. there is a lot of room out there for pc sales.

The BW article argues otherwise...The BW article argues this, not me, ok...I just happen to agree.

finally regarding dell. dell's share price was up nearly 400% in the past year.....(snip)...... i think dell is going to be o.k.

I never said DELL was not going to be OK. I am not that stupid. BW questioned their ability to grow at 50% per anum, and I agreed. They will still make a ton of money. It's the growth rate that is sooo important when one is discounting future earnings. This is why the stock has gotten pounded.

but i question your assumptions.

What was my assumption? That the PC world is ending? It was not that. I believe there is trend away from traditional PC sales. I am not silly enough to say, "Thread, I just read a BW article and there are not going to be any PC sales next year!"

I have written enough and we can discuss more of you like. I have 5 responses waiting for me <gg>

Regards,

MileHigh
