The question should really be, "Should parents allow their children to surf the web unsupervised?"

You say, I am a parent and shocked that SI would allow smut on our internet.
I am *not* a parent, and I am shocked that any parent would let their child surf the net without any guidance, supervision, or limits.

You demand others create a sanitized world, just so you don't have to take the effort to keep your kid away from things you don't want him to see. He's *your* child, raise him yourself!

You want to keep your kid from seeing nasty pictures? Go to any of these sites, download the software, and install it on your child's computer, and he won't be able to access adult sites.
