Jimsy -maybe you should buy a book on how a public company works -and how financing and things like that work -prior to you getting too excited.

When you buy a share of Ashton -the company does not get your money -the person that sold you that share gets your money. When the company was first started the company would have sold shares to the initial investors. These were quite likely at a nickle or a dime. Any money you paid for that share on the market -over and above that dime- went into the sellers pocket -not Ashtons. When you buy a share in a speculative stock you are gambling on the company finding something. And as Kaiser has pointed out (although it is obvious to the educated investor) the odds of Ashton hitting a commercial mine are higher now than they have ever been. This goes for Meo and any other company that has found kimberlites. You are playing an educated gamble -along with the rest of us. This is why having multiple games going on at the same time improves your chances. JP

PS Since aca will want to raise money a year from now by issuing more shares - they want a high stock price much more than you do- the trick is that they know they need it then -not now. This is why they are not promoting the stock -which I am positive really pisses PUG off.
