Blodgett wasn't hired in his new Merill Lynch job for his experience. Merril knows that there is a segment who now follows him because of his correct Amazon call, and thus he is a "tool" that is valuable to them. After all, now Blodgett can tell all the ML clients his buy recommendations before the public hears them, and the ML clients will be happy. Anyone who thinks it isnt a game needs to look a little harder. :)
