George, if I may, do the readers here know that you are the El Cid of technology, the one who helped beat back the hoards of infidel Atari Dems who wanted to waste untold $$$ billions and billions on bastard analog HDTV?

As I remember, didn't you help the Reagan administration fight the efforts of Gary Hart et alGore Atari who proclaimed that analog HDTV was the future and that the Japanese where far far ahead with their government direction (picking tech "winners") and big funding? The Ataris said that we required a similar commitment here or else we lose that critical technology to a superior system. Did you not argue that analog HDTV was dead end and a great waste of resources? Did you not say that digital HDTV was the future, the convergence of TV and computer? And weren't you right, didn't the Japanese waste untold billions?

Thank you George! You saved US enough that you should never have to pay income taxes again. The lesson is to beware politicos who show nothing more than a political interest in technology, as is their wont - take Forrest Gore. Please.

btw, people should be aware that your efforts outside the tech realm are equally impressive and perhaps even more provocative (I like that). Sexual Suicide is one that cannot be denied.
