Brian, that's baloney! Ebay lists the number of listings, but no one outside top management knows the number of successful bids. Yesterday Doug said :

Just look at the auction counts. They are VERY indicative of eBay's revenues.

But today he concedes that:

I agree that increased auction counts don't guarantee a corresponding revenue increase.

Traffic to the web site is the best indicator of change in revenue. And for this quarter, traffic increases 12%. Just ask Doug to show you the traffic numbers in the past, and you'll see a pretty close to 1-to-1 correlation between traffic growth rate to revenue growth rate.
