Credible internet documentation may be far more valuable than any other form of financial commentary. Consider the damage that a licensed broker at any brokerage firm under the jurisdiction of the SEC can do to an investor and have no one else know about it. If things do not work out with the advice the broker gave to the client, the broker moves on to the next contact and continues the numbers game. Who does he call or fax first out of his list of contacts, his best clients first? With the internet, everyone can get the same information at the same time. Anyone can see the correct observations along with the mistakes. Everyone in this business is giving an educated guess, even Federal Reserve Chairman Greenspan. When a chief market strategist of a major brokerage firm changes his view of the market and has the sales force reflect that view which causes a market fluctuation to occur which is counter to your personal investment position, are you going to sue and cry to the SEC? The market, from my experience, seems designed to hurt the most investors / speculators and profit the few whenever it can. Notice the price of a stock as it nears option expiration and you may see manipulations that present problems to those who are long particular options. I paid my tuition with many trading mistakes in the past and considered it the cost of my education and did not try and get someone else to pay. I do what I do because it seems the most honest way to go about it and never could do the telemarketing that the financial industry depends on when I had my Series 7 license for six years. Full discloser is paramount in order for any internet media or regular video, broadcast or print media to have longevity. Also, the observations need to be correct more than not.
