Others may think that the LS-120 is the ideal removable but I don't .

The ability to read floppies with a new removable disk drive at first made sense but now it doesn1t because my uses are covered with external Zips. The few floppies that I have used this last year have been transferred to my Zip removable and have not been touched since, and my systems currently have their unused floppy ports. In the future I hope to have an Iomega N-hand adaptor for my Zips or a new generation of Zip drives. My drives are and will be external. I expect programs I may need will be offered on N-hand disks and my future use of floppy dependency will be non-existent.

The bottom line is: The feature to read old disk of the LS-120 is IMO outweighed by the potentials of the Zip coupled with the proclaimed N-hand. If you need to read an old floppies merely get an external for them. They are cheap.
