wallstreeter -

Are you really asking me if it is worth it? The answer to that is totally subjective - having said that I quess I will open myself up to being lambasted by others,

I bought the course in early '98 and have never regretted the purchase but as I said it is all relative.

A question I would ask is - where are you on your learning curve re: daytrading? If you are just beginning on your quest it would have more value than if you were already proficient with Level II. I still review it occasionally and find his insight and expertise rewarding. The course is written well and easy to understand. In my opinion one of the best. I don't remember ever reading of someones dissatisfaction with course. Baron updates the course and you continue to receive the updates free of charge. He also added reviews of RIM, SortWizard, HunterTools and Stock Weasel (trading tools of different sorts) to the course material.

here are some free sites with some good info

phactor.com - great site, tons of info and good tutorial,

http:/polartrading.com/icecommerce/ice_curriculum/index.html - a good site with a well written brief tutorial on Level II. just click and follow introductory topics, registration is free.

mtrader.com some good info there.

I hope this helps. remember that education is absolutely necessary to get started in daytrading with a minimum amount of pain and discomfort - be prepared, be overprepared and then continue educating yourself, you can always learn something new. The market is never static and you shouldn't be either.

There are too many traders out there that have spent years either in school or with on the job training in their chosen vocation - but are expecting to be a sucessful trader with a brief overview and purchase of a real time trading platform - a sure recipe (no pun intended) for disaster.

Good trading and God Bless

Cormac
