Here are some hints why color is so difficult: If you view the source of all posted messages that incorporate HTML code, you will see that the web server translates certain important HTML symbols, such as brackets, into literals (i.e. "& lt;"-- without the space-- for less than) thereby trashing what is supposed to be a tag. If you run the search engine (at the bottom of every thread listing) you will see that the text you have chosen to find is highlighted in red when you pull up the found documents. This is being added after the fact, obviously. It may be that the "Mehr" post with red in it preceded this change to the web server. If so, we can forget about color UNLESS we can fool the server into not translating, for example, brackets as tags into brackets as literals. Good luck!
