my theory

IMOT took off last week because the company decided to disclose the fact that they are negotiating with big players- hinting at amazon and others.

The company stated an announcement would be forthcoming.

This lead to a lot of speculation driving the price up.

In essence, by releasing the information early (and not disclosing it formally in the form of a press release) the company is pumping its own stock. Some on the IMOT thread called the company and reported the information they received on the SI thread. I imagine if the company was disclosing this information to any joe or gill that called, they were also telling their major investors.

The result.... a lot of speculative trading.

The issue is... IMOT price my stay higher than XNET and GTCI (eventhough GTCI has alliances with the or a chinese phone company) because they "might" have an announcement soon regarding some arrangement with amzn and or another big company. Now, will this annoncement be "material" enough?

There is no question that internet service is a growth area in china. But I have my doubts about e-commerce when the chinese are not allowed to hold credit cards (at least that is my undestanding).

remarks and additional information welcome
