Shalom, I also agree with what you say here, believe me. And the thought of picking up ANYONE with their thumb out chills me to the bone, for the very obvious reaons it is courting a horrible death at the hands of the madman or madwoman you are attempting to "aid" in their distress. This was not always so. Also, now that I am thinking about it again through your post, the God's truth of the matter is that there was an identical story circulating in the 70's regarding the hitchjhicker who said Jesus was coming soon. But, true or not, I love to hear even mythical rumors that remind me of THE SOON AND COMING KING.
