He actually DID try to take credit for starting the Internet concept. As George Will (I believe) said, AlGore should take a page out of Hillary's book and try to distance himself as quickly as possible from Slick Willy. The video tape is classic. Gore seems to think that since Slick took credit for an economy he had nothing to do with, he could take the Internet as his own and no one would object. That major gaffe did succeed in diverting attention from the fact that Forrest looked more like a fugitive from a "Hair Club for Men" commercial than a presidential candidate. He better have that mange checked out. As for George Will, there's a man who knows history - smart, smart, SMART. Too bad he's stuck to dueling it out with the intellectually challenged Donaldson. Someone must think that makes for good TV. Sometimes I think that Cokie is surely about to pop an eye or two in reaction to some of the genuinely stupid things that come out of Sam's mouth. Cokie has a great built in crap detector and Sam always sets it off. The kicker is that Sam never seems to catch on to what an arse he makes out of himself on a regular basis. That's real acting. >>AlGore should not listen to Susan Estrich or whoever is trying to guide his campaign. Come on, she did a bang-up job for President Dukakis. Pay no attention Forrest, please, for the children, listen to the "babe"!
