Hey, Money, that's a good point re SI ! And a qquestion for thoroughness, is SI liable in any way for anything? I saw someone else post that question, but didn't really see any responses.

Is it also possible that ppl will or are short SI and hoping for that very thing you mention - of SI going downhill?

You've probably seen my posts about wanting to keep up the quality of the posts so as to not to become like the negative/bashing type posts on Yahoo. I paid my money to gain access to the quality posts and dialogue. I lurked for quite a while, not wanting to pay the membership fee based on principle that there were other message boards on the internet and I figured I get to read the messages anyway. But, I felt I wanted to discuss things with posters.

On the thd I set up, I pose the question, can pump and dump be construed to apply to negative bashing etc, etc. ?

I am all for shorting of companies that have run up and appear overvalued for whatever reason, but I'd like to hear/read the reasoning, just as in the case of deciding to go long a stock. If there is nothing but something along the lines of "this stock is garbage" without any other info, isn't that along the lines of a pump DOWN?
