Jill - forget the niche area, it doesn't appear to be helping them.
The whole issue centers on the "M" word. That possibility does exist but you have to factor in the issue of the depressed stock prices in this segment. I took a very quick look - ORAL and OCA are trading at almost 52 week lows. If they are the likely candidates, how does this affect a buyout or merger? These guys are profitable and growing, if I remember correctly, and wouldn't need a deal except on their terms. The other guys AOJ and OTIX would seem more likely to cut a better deal for ORTH but their stock prices are depressed too. I really can't figure who it would be. Anybody have any thoughts? Consolidation probably would be good for this segment. You might be on to something. I have no position yet but am looking seriously.
