WHAT? WHAT was that strange response? Good grief, Mike, that's so off the wall I can't believe it. And YES, I'm sorry, but hitch hiking in California was for several years an intense rush experienced by a bunch of usually well-born kids with usually several years of college underneath them before they dropped out. It is just embarrassing to admit I hitch hiked, especially to those lwho didn't, and now, no, it is too scarey a realm and I see anyone hitching and I'm afraid for them/and or the afriad for the fool who will pick them up. Good grief, in no way, shape, form, or intent was I accusing you of anything. I'm just glad to find another hitch hiker who will admit it! :)
