Great post is right I hope Algore meets the fate of Dukakis.

Dukakis tried to represent himself as an environmentalist - until he was reminded of the state of Boston Harbor. A sewage pit.He being Governor of Mass.

Now, by the way, as not everybody may know yet, lobsters are back in Boston Harbor and one can swim. In Cohasset where I know someone, they noted that they can see the bottom of their bay.

A secondary sewage treatment plant was built on Deer Island, using oxygen to make the bugs work faster (the co. I used to run, built the oxygen plant)

The Clean Water Act of 1977 had required this eons ago, but most municipalities (East and West coast) obtained “Ocean Outfall Waivers” for many years. By 1987 Industry was 90 % in compliance with the Act, municipalities 50 % , or some such numbers.

The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority has some interesting sites on the subject, I found

history.rochester.edu

mdc.net

Somewhere it says the had a million visitors. Hong Kong has a similar situation which is why I looked into the matter in my retirement.

Anyway - may Algore meet the fate of Dukakis. He deserves it for being a phony environmentalist.
