The first firm I am interested in is Patrick Rost & Associates, since they now represent KWIN. I have found 7 announcements over the past two years relating to companies hiring them. The companies I found are: JNNE, AXGI, PLRP, WOTD, LAKO, ENDV and KWIN. Of these 7, only one is now at a higher price than the day of the announcement that Rost was hired; six are the same or lower. Since six of the seven just hired Rost in 1999, this may not be enough time to fairly judge Rost's performance. I should also note that these are small companies, and it is always difficult to weave gold out of straw. Anyone else have a particular firm they are interested in? Let's keep the research going--I'd like to find the IR firm with the Midas touch.
