Good Evening WBM....
As you know S. Cowen downgraded Dell this past week from Strong Buy to Buy. Well here's a gem I picked up about S Cowen from last year - March 6, 1998 - nice to know that they are consistent.....LOL..

"In the March 6th WSJ they talk with Mr. Chu in the Heard It On the STreet column, "(Mr. Chu's) solution? Yesterday he downgraded highflying Dell to a buy from a strong buy. But he retained his strong buy on Compaq Computer. his reasoning? Based on it's strong earnings news, Dell was up a staggering 65% for this year thru Wednesday. Compaq, which has warned that it is facing margin pressure, has lost 1% so far this year. CPQ simply looks less richly valued." "Dell was trading near it's high, the perception is, Wait a minute on Dell, let's take a fresh look", He says. "Short-term, risk-reward is a little more negative here" And there you have it, dowside small on CPQ ( yesterday Dell had a larger point loss and percentage loss than CPQ...on CPQ's bad news!), and much to look forward too with it's recent aquisition of DEC. Potentially large downside for Dell, they are ripe for a correction and It is just not possible for them to feel no pricing pressure." - Issued March 6, 1998!!!!! ____________________________________________
Still missing the point as usual I guess........<BG>
Highest Regards....
