Razorbak, CEO decisionmaking on individual well packages is OK so long as there is not along line of intermediaries between the "front line" and the CEO. But you did hit upon a differnce between independents and integrated oil companies. Integrateds plan a project to be a seemless web if successful-and hit the dirt running, boom! Boom! Boom! Independents drill a well. If successful then they consider transportation. After transportation is arranged, then they seek a sales contract,etc.. Cheaper, but a bit more disjointed from a project perspective...
