I think the $1B was just some hopeful number thrown out back then. For several months the number being thrown around was 600M. The final deal included EG&G taking responsibility for the retirement liabilities and PKN retaining some Connecticut real estate, so it really worked out to over $425M, but still a bargain for EGG. Now lets all focus on 100% biotech here! I still think the chart is weak, and I'm ready to sell some shares without a lot of arm-twisting. pg
