Joan, Where are you? Did that sweet sixteen party for your daughter take all your typing energy? This is going to be a fun week so let's get ready. 10,000 here we come.
Things to move the market this week: Retail sales (which should be great), Housing starts and permits (which should be excellent) and the CPI ( which also should be good). If that is not enough to move the market, we can count on our internets.
This is internet IPO week, four of them. One of these is expected to be very hot. Here is the line up.
Cheap Tickets CTIX
Flashnet Communications FLAS
iVillage IVIL (watch this one)
Multex.com Inc MLTX
RE: GNET If people are going to spend all this money on IPOs seems some rational people would rather bet on a proven internet company who has a CEO that has already told you his company will beat earnings. Compare GNET's 100 day chart to whoever you like. If you are going to own an internet GNET may be the place to start.
RE: The Holyfield/Lewis fight. I've searched all over the web in search of a man's trunks, I am not proud to say. Seems silly now looking all over the internet to find a man's trunks but I wanted to see the GNET advertising. Fat chance, most shots are upper body and to be honest the best coverage of the bout was on the BBC web site.
I hope GNET has cut a rematch deal already and they contrast any color of trunks in the future. The fight may have been ruled a draw but there were two winners. GNET won and since this is America, Don King won. This has rematch all over it, let's just hope GNET is in on it. 909ers to all BLUE
