I'm behind in my reading but a debate was going about who is going to limit production from the Desert Dirts. I attended the BRX field trip yesterday and I'm writing a detailed trip report and calculating target prices for various estimating approaches. I'm going to polish it before I'm ready to post it but I couldn't resist making one statement regarding something that Mr Furlong told us. In doing their stepout drilling to determine the size of the BRX deposit they found the boundary on the north side. They drill holes on the north of the boundary and find ZERO gold, and, on the south side they find a gradient of gold with increasing values up to what I call the sweet spot near the first sq km. My point being that if someone is thinking all desert dirt has gold in it think again. This is a conventional gold deposit with the same geology that made the earth what it is today. The supply of gold in the southwest US is not unlimited but comes in enriched deposits just like everywhere else in the world. Mother Nature will limit production from the Desert Dirts.
