Yes, there is a longstanding tradition among certain Protestants to regard Rome as the Whore of Babylon, but there are plenty of others who have adopted a more ecumenical spirit. Also, there has been a pragmatic rapprochement among the more conservative members of various denominations, on issues like abortion.
I do not know if it would do any harm not to have sex, even for a male, and in any cse there are many things besides coitus that one can do, but I agree that it is not a major issue for adults.
