Carter was an idealistic fool who not only ruined the US values (both at economic level as well as moral level), but also ruined a lot of countires (including Iran) with his idiotic image building slogan of Human Rights! It is interesting that Carter is perhaps the most hated man in Iran not only by the fundamentalist mad religious mullahs governing the country but also by all pro-Shah supporters and all anti Khomeni movements. Both sides blame him for the destruction of Iran! Now going back to your comment, please do not take me wrong. There is absolutely no question in my mind that Clinton (and democrats) are corrupt and have acted as such. However what bothers me very much is that Republicans of the late 1990's act as if they are the saints sent by god to rescue the nation form the corrupt Democrats!! That is what angers me. Given the same opportunity Republicans are as bad (if not worst) than Clinton (as they have shown before). I remember the Clinton impeachment hearing. As I saw the republicans and democrats that composed the judicial committe one thing I noticed was very interesting. Practically all republicans were White men christians with basically the same rigid conservative philosophical views, while Democrats cosisted of blacks,whites, men, women, and even a gay! Now I ask you which group represented America better? republicans or democrats?! For a small minority to dictate what is right and worng morally (or otherwise) is as un-American as having a King for the leader of the US! Both Republicans and Democrats are corrupt. After all that is part of human nature. However I rather have and deal with the corruption of the group that represents the mainstream society and the nation at large rather than the corruption of the group that reflects a very special group of people who think of themselves as the true Americans (namely republicans of the late 1990's).
