EDnet And Telestream Team Up To Offer Economical High Quality Video
Delivery Over Data Networks
SAN FRANCISCO, March 11 /PRNewswire/ -- EDnet, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board:
DNET - news) today announced an agreement with Telestream, a
manufacturer of high quality video delivery systems, to provide a break- through solution for the exchange of high quality video over data networks using Internet Protocol (IP) technology.
Tom Kobayashi, Chief Executive Officer, states, ''For years there has
been growing demand for an IP-based product that would allow video
professionals to send high quality video easily and affordably over a
choice of standard data networks. Telestream's ClipMail(TM)Pro, is the
first system of its kind, to provide this capability.'' Under the terms of the OEM agreement, EDnet will provide complete turnkey solutions, bundling Telestream video equipment with their network services.

ClipMail(TM)Pro uses variable MPEG-2, IP and store and forward technologies to send and receive approval to digital-master quality video and audio over a choice of standard data networks. Simple menu screens allow users to send, receive and view video packages as easily as e-mail.
EDnet's present entertainment, advertising and corporate clients will be able to send approval quality short form video, which include
commercials, special effects, graphics, storyboards and animation shots. There is a large market that wants to economically send dailies, shot remotely, to editors working back at the studio. Ad agencies and corporate advertisers want to instantly review creative video development from different locations to enable collaboration during the creative process. ''This simple delivery system would also provide a timely video approval solution for our corporate investor relation clients, for whom we are producing Internet video news releases of new products,'' commented EDnet President, David Gustafson. EDnet is beta testing the systems with Telestream during March, and will begin offering bundled services in April 1999.

technological advancements concerning video on the Internet. Over the past year streaming technology has made it possible for large video files to be viewed by consumers without long download times and the quality was acceptable even if using a 56K modem. During the first half of 1999, a new compression standard (MPEG-4) will be available for consumer use that will not only provide "TV-like" quality at speeds above 56K but will also improve the video quality on even
slower speed modems. This new technology is expected to boost consumer demand for video content. We believe the Company will be positioned to offer its production, marketing, and distribution services to all businesses looking to enrich their presence on the Internet.
