The 1998 Shareholder letter finally arrived and it raises several questions:

-on Page 4, the space PV is mentioned at a cost of 30-60/watt. This would mean that our 5MW machine could generate $150 to $200mm? Can we build this stuff on the 5MW machine or does it require a new machine? Any forecasts on demand out there?

-on Page 6, who is the nutty "EV enthusiast" who raves after driving a NiMh EV1 to malibu? I wonder....

-on page 7, at the bottom there is a conflicting statement on Honda, "We note with interest that Honda has selected Ovonic NiMh technology..." and then "While Honda currently uses a Japan-sourced NiMh battery for its cars, we will soon be presenting our next generation..." Does the first statement just mean that they chose NiMh over some other chemistry? If so maybe we outta help them on the use of pronouns and possessives "selected Ovonic" and "we will soon present", seem misleading.

Are we gonna let Hondas wearing Matsushita batteries into this country? Is this the famous "one model of EV NiMh which Panasonic EV Energy can produce subject to the patent suit settlement?
