Agreed.

It just seemed that the way the articles and Senate Testimony was stated, there is a belief the Canal itself is vulnerable and I thought that somewhat misleading or confused on their part.

I'm really hoping over the next 6 months we'll get a better idea of what folks will consider to be definite disruptions. But I certainly suggest folks take some preparations such as having 1 to 2 months worth of food and necessities available and a means to purify water.

But I'm not going to panic based upon conjecture and a lack of evidence as to what the actual failures will amount to. Everyone who says there will be disruptions face a difficult problem of proving or detailing exactly where. Most of these scenarios are derived from questionable stastical information with little hard evidence of specific events to support them.

But on the other hand, the naysayers also face the problem of trying to prove there WON'T be any disruptions. Most of the world will likely be flying by the seat of the pants on this issue and will have to fix on failure.

The rest of us are stuck in the middle trying to separate facts from fiction, probable from improbable, and jusifiable from unjustifiable fear.
