FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)—Mar. 15, 1999--The Internet Advisory Corporation (OTC:PUNK - news) announced that it has contracted with Bay Networks, a subsidiary of Nortel Networks (NYSE: NTL – news), to supply their routers and switches for the high-speed data center. theinternetcorporation.com

“We have purchased Bay's largest backbone node router as well as their newest switch system,” stated Jeffrey A. Olweean, president and CEO. “The first T-3 is in place and we anticipate filling the router with additional thirteen by year end. This is the first in a series of Bay backbone node routers that we plan to acquire.”

The latest Bay Network switch is their Bay Stack 450-24T switch. It has the capability of sending information at one gigibit (one billion bits) per second. Punk currently has a multiple of the switches and intends to increase this amount as they expand.

Overseeing the router/switch system will be Optivity Network Management software. This software offers Statistics and Bandwidth reporting capabilities.
