What if Ford gave away free cars? would you go and pay for a VOLVO,
Toyota? No, you will get the free one. Then when all competition goes away
MSFT can charge anything they want, they would have the public (us) by
the....you know what!!!. That is what our government is trying to protect us
from. I have MSFT but I am not blind to what they are trying to do.<<

Sophia, Did not AOL do the same thing for more then a year? I never saw so many free copies of AOL and free internet access as they were appearing everywhere.. AOL still are doing the same thing. The idea is to get subscribers used to using their browser and hopefully snuffing out the competition. I do not see anything wrong with Microsoft giving away the browser.

If Ford gave me a free car I would be thrilled but still would buy a Toyota Corolla.

Have a great day

Frank
