Freezing is often caused by overly agressive settings of
basic timing parameters available in the CMOS chipset setup.
I suppose onboard components might contribute in some way,
but I don't know how. The case against on board components is
no upgrade path. Of course, maybe it's broken <g>. Good luck
returning it after 3 months.
