Valeri Evdokimov;
I used to play quite a bit, in tournaments but now I cannot find partners. I enjoyed it when I was a kid. I was given a temporary rating of Master but really I was class A. Maybe, I might have made it to Expert. I live in an apartment building with engineers, physicists, doctors, lawyers, teachers and executives and no one plays chess. I am old now and I am good for pushing pieces around the board, that's all.
I agree, the market has an element of uncertainty that chess does not have. The market has all of the human elements of greed, corruption, fear, glory, conquest, etc. that make it a most interesting and unpredictable game. Chess is too stylized for that. However, I thought I might find a partner. PHOTOMAN |
