What is your obsession here? You don't like the stock then bash it once
and walk away. But you seem to enjoy the fact that its down. Stocks make
money and lose money. That's why its called speculation, and people who
put too much money into any one stock are not good investors. If you
want to hate the company. knock yourself out. But stop seething like a
five year old. Some people are sticking with the stock, some people are
stuck with it and others have moved on. You're entitled not to be happy
with the company or yourself, or both, but no one enjoys you mouthing
off (well, let me correct that, I'm sure you enjoy it, but few others
do).
Have a great day.
As to your quetions, given the above proviso, I offer the following:
1. No, I don't regret it at all.
2. The stock has declined because of several possible factors. First and foremost I believe the company never was able to obtain sufficient capital to market its products. The products are impressive (see question 5), and are usable and competitive. But products need to be marketed. Second, I believe AOL really did strike a mortal or near mortal blow if it caused the company to lose financing. Three: I do believe that people intentionally bash the stock only because they are obsessed with touting the bad points (and, yes, you fall into that category by your actions). People generally walk away from a bad investment. The ones who stick around to whine and second/third/fourth guess have an agenda. I don't pretend to know what the agenda is, but it ain't positive.
3. Stop trying to place yourself in the company of Cassandra. Many who viewed the company in a negative light were treated just fine. Those with an agenda were not.
4. Yes I do. No, I'm holding. In my experience, people who go for the "big hit" usually get a black eye. I diversify and never put too many eggs in any one basket no matter how enticing or lovely the basket may be.
5. See above.
Get a life, guy.
