Lucent Technologies Selects ArF Scanner From Nikon Precision Inc. March 15, 1999 BELMONT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE) via NewsEdge Corporation -- Nikon Precision Inc. announced today that Lucent Technologies has ordered Nikon's newest ArF scanner for development of advanced communications semiconductors in its new Bell Laboratories development facility at Cirent Semiconductor in Orlando, Fla. The scanner will be delivered in Nikon's 1999 fiscal year.
To meet the small feature sizes of 150 nm and below planned for Lucent's new pilot line, Nikon's high N.A. (0.60) scanning system was selected from a field of competitors, both domestic and foreign.
