Altman Formula Update

Auric: I know Professor Altman has developed an update to his original formula called Z-prime, but it doesn't appear to be as widely used as the original formula, at least in my industry. For that reason, I haven't been able to get my hands on the specific formula. However, I just e-mailed Altman last night to see if it was available to the general public, and I will post details if he responds in the affirmative.

Regarding Altman's current focus, I'm pretty sure that he is still teaching at NYU, so if he is working on the Street, it's probably only part-time as a consultant. If/when he responds to my e-mail, I will try to ask him about the issue of intangibles like software for technology related stocks.
