Would you suggest that a member of your family pick up a hitch hiker? Oh, I guess you asked that before and I did not answer. Sorry. To be quite honest I would rather some of my family pick up hitchhikers than do a LOT of things they ARE doing, you know? But no, I do not lecture them on that or request that they do that. I only speak for myself, but IMO, a stranger is just that. A stranger. Does not define what kind of strangers to mess with and the kind to avoid. Says strangers may be angels. And the word "entertain" is not as in throw a party, but as in "xenizo= be a host, lodge. If I pick one up, I am "hosting" him. I just am trying to make sure my mind stays clear to see what God intends me to see. I do not worry about getting robbed or killed. I am convinced that I will not die before God says it is time for me to die. So I guess I will keep picking them up. Talking about helping those who have been beaten and robbed, I did that once while it was happening (boyfriend beating girlfriend) and I jumped up, ran outside to help and got a gun pulled on me, and then to top it off the girl ended up marrying the guy!!!!!!!! imagine that. dan
