The two advantages I've always given DON credit for are:

1. ability to offer a hidden wire to the overhead (which is nice but not a deal breaker for GNTX obviously)
2. incumbency with respect to mirror sales. Again, doesn't seem to have really given DON any ability to present a credible challenge.

The rest of it is fluff. GNTX mirrors have excellent "vibration performance". Notice that DON did not mention DURABILITY as an advantage. Above all, auto makers need to feel comfortable that the mirror they put on the car will not need replacement within a few years. Engineering-wise, GNTX has so many advantages, I could put you to sleep reciting them (reaction within gray scale, lifecycle, feature set, aspheric, etc.)
