OT: Technically, sales tax is avoidable. You simply order from a state outside that in which you live. I live in CA, and don't have to pay sales tax unless the sale is "made" in CA, i.e. unless the company is in CA. Now, I do have to report a utility tax, but let's say that may or may not happen all the time. To me, this has been an advantage - ordering from out of state companies on big-ticket items has in fact saved me money.
