I've found that Jehovah's Witnesses may be well versed in specific verses they claim support their doctrine, but not with scripture as a whole. When a point is made from the Bible that refutes their stance I've noticed what seems like a cloud come over their ability to reason and they will refuse to return to the issue at hand. Examples of this being Hebrews 1 or evidence of the trinity in the Old Testament etc.

Knowing their organizations history and it's founder's has helped as far as showing what foundation the Watchtower was built upon, many are surprised by the less than illustrious beginnings of the Society (By their fruits ye shall know them).

It's interesting how many members of various cults and denominations do not know their own doctrine or history, Mormons and J.W.'s in particular. The hold they have upon their membership by fear leaves a horrible taste in my mouth.

Despite their motivation for doing so, the Christian can learn much in watching counterfeits going door to door. I have never had a Bible believing Christian presenting the true gospel of salvation knock at mine.

A lady in our Bible study class is out of the Society and the pain I see in her eyes concerning her remaining family still in it's clutches is beyond description.

For want of more labourers in the harvest.
